Antelope Lanes Bowling Camps

Enjoy the Antelope Lanes Bowling Alley in Prescott Valley for a series of one day Thursday Bowling Camps scheduled for every Thursday afternoon in August, September and October. Pick out your shoes at 3:30 p.m. for bowling camp sessions from 4-5 p.m. Bowl for $2 per session. Kids between the ages of 6 and 18 will receive a FREE shoe rental and will benefit from professional instruction by receiving quality bowling tips from Antelope Lanes' bowling coaches

Horseshoe Club

The Central Arizona Horseshoe Club meets each Tuesday at 8 a.m. and on Saturdays beginning at 8 a.m. The club meets in the fenced horseshoe pit area located in American Legion Park, 8569 E. Yavapai Road in Prescott Valley.

Everyone is invited to join up and become part of Prescott Valley's horseshoe pitching club. No prior experience is necessary.

Free instruction is offered to one and all, especially beginners. If you would like more information about pitching horseshoes, please contact President Les Fillipi at 445-0603.

Hula Class

The Town of Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department is now offering a Hula class! Learn Hawaiian language, culture, customs and the dances of Hawaii with instructor Kehau Chrisman - a native Hawaiian and Hula Master who teaches both modern and traditional Hula.

The next class will take place Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Civic Center in Community Room 331 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cost: $40. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, bring their own lunch/snacks, water, and a three-ring binder with paper.

Golf Instruction

The Town of Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with StoneRidge Golf Course is offering golf instruction to boys and girls 6 to 17 years of age. This program is targeting aspiring golf students who desire to learn the fundamentals of the sport and benefit from top quality professional golf instruction. Cost: $40 per student for four lessons.

All sessions will take place on Saturdays with classes for boys and girls ages 6 to 10 from 9-10 a.m. and ages 11 to 17 from 10-11 a.m.

Session 2 will take lace on September 5, 12, 19 and 26. Session 3 is October 3, 10, 17 and 24. The final session meetings are from 3-5 p.m. and a parent is invited to play with their child on the StoneRidge Golf Course!

A maximum of 6 students may enroll for any session.

Martial Arts

The Town of Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department is offering a martial arts program that will encompass areas of self discipline, respect, coordination, stranger awareness, self defense, light sparring, forms and strengthening the body. Weapon training is not a part of this class and uniforms are required.

Classes will take place at the Bradshaw Mountain High School west campus in the gymnasium wrestling room on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m.

Session 4 is August 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31

Monthly fee is $40 and does not include a uniform. Uniforms may be purchased at Shinpu-Ren Family Karate. Class size minimum: 5 Maximum: 40. Registration deadline is seven days prior to start.

Adult Tap Class

The Town of Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation Department is offering an Adult Tap class instructed by Jessica Bishop. In this class participants will learn traditional tap steps and combinations. It is well-suited for beginning students, or for those who have not taken class in a while.

Class dates are August 17, 24, 31

Adult Tap will take place Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at Granville Elementary School for Session 4, and the Bradshaw Mountain High School east campus cafeteria for Session 3. Cost is $32 per four-class session. Age requirement is 16 years old and up.
