Bargain hunters will have another venue full of great finds with the opening of the Goodwill store at 9 a.m. Friday, July 18. According to Goodwill representatives, the grand opening date still remains tentative.

"Shoppers may expect great deals. The new store will be bright, open and a fun place to shop," said Goodwill spokesperson Lea Soto.

The 25,000 square-foot retail space will feature a donation, drop-off area. The Goodwill store on Lee soon will close, making way for the new Prescott Valley outlet.

A ribbon cutting will take place the morning of the grand opening with free donuts and coffee. The first 150 people to show up will receive a $5 gift card, Soto said.

The Prescott Valley store marks the 60th in the Prescott territory, that includes Phoenix and Yuma, she said.

"We're set to open a Goodwill Career Center in Prescott the same day as the grand opening," she said. That center is at 1385 Iron Springs Rd. These centers offer job preparation and employment services to the public at no cost.

"Putting people to work is our mission," Soto said.

According to the Goodwill Industries Website, the organization channels 82 percent of its total revenue into education, career services and other community programs. In addition, Goodwill offers an auction site to sell donated items at shopgoodwill.com.

The Prescott Valley store address is at 7620 E. Highway 69.
