Bradshaw Mountain's Bears chewed up and spit out the Flagstaff Eagles in Prescott Valley Friday with a 37-3 victory.

The Eagles were first on the scoreboard with a field goal, but that was all the Bears would allow.

Midway through the first quarter, Shane Sorrells contributed the first of his two touchdowns on the evening. Augie Espinoza kicked the extra point to make it 7-3.

Half a minute later, an Eagle snap to their kicker rolled into the end zone and the Bears fell on it for a safety that increased the lead to 9-3.

A little over a minute off the clock after that, Nick Martensen nabbed a 24-yarder out of the air from Jarett Cain for the Bears' second TD, and Espinoza came through again. The Bears took a 17-3 lead into the second quarter and never looked back, with strong performances from both offense and defense, including a defensive touchdown.

Bradshaw head coach Jared Woodruff once again kept their opponent off-balance by freely substituting among his three quarterbacks. Cain led the charge, completing 11 of 21 passes for 180 yards. Mikey VanDyke went 0-for-3 passing, but rushed four times for 42 yards, and playing the other side, delivered a TD on a 57- yard interception. Colton Audsley got 7 yards on1-for-3 passing, but managed a TD among his 51 yards rushing.

Sorrells totted up 70 yards and 2 TDs on 18 carries; while Nick Martensen added 49 yards and a TD on 2 receptions.

Also helping to advance the pigskin for the Bears were: Jose Carlos, 30 yards on 9 carries; Casey Huntley. 4 receptions for 66 yards; Espinoza, 12 yards on 1 reception; Angel Holguin, 44 yards on 3 receptions. With 187 passing yards and 193 yards rushing, the Bears produced 380 yards offense in the game.

Bradshaw, 5-1, is ranked No. 9 in Div. III, but first in Section 4. Prescott is at No. 13, and second in Section 4. The crosstown rivals will meet in Prescott this Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
