Week 7 Results for Prescott Valley Youth Football and Cheer

Prescott Renegades

7-8th Graders vs the Flagstaff Panthers

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Prescott Renegades hosted the Flagstaff Panthers at Bradshaw Mountain Middle School in Dewey. Flagstaff won 34-18.

The Panthers started off the second play with a touchdown and the extra point. Then Prescott quarterback Isaiah Ripley threw a ball to Colton Amos who made a run to the 45-yard line. The Renegade defensive line, including River Maize, allowed Renegade Preston Shaw to recover a fumbled ball.

Next play Ripley threw the ball to Prescott's Zach Archibeque and he got the third down. At the 30 yard line, Ripley threw the ball to wide receiver Renegade John Chaffeur, who ran it to the one-yard line but got stopped by the first quarter buzzer.

At the end of the first quarter the score was 7-0 Panthers.

At the top of the 2nd quarter, Renegade Chaffeur tried to stop the second touchdown with an interception to no avail. The Panthers scored and also got the extra point. Quarterback Renegade Ripley ran with the ball into the end zone.

The play looked good until a penalty for shifting was called and the touchdown was called back. At the half time mark the Panthers led the Renegades 13-0.

As the third quarter started, the Panthers hit the Renegades hard with another beautiful touchdown and extra point.

First play of the quarter for the Renegades Archibeque got the first down. Next play, Renegade Chaffeur caught a bouncing spiral from Ripley. Renegades Mike Roberts and Everett (Smiley) Sims tried to keep the Panthers back but the extra point wasn't good. The Renegades were on the board 6 to the Panthers 21.

At the end of the third, the Panthers scored again, leaving the Renegades down 27-6.

The Panthers scored and gained the extra again at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Chaffeur made the second touchdown for the Renegades with five minutes to go. Prescott's Ripley ended on a high note by getting the last touchdown of the night.
