4/17/2013 7:58:00 AM Sundogs: 'whatever it takes' to sell tickets
Join the Arizona Sundogs as they continue their "Whatever it Takes" campaign. The Sundogs are asking for community support to fill Tim's Toyota Center for the 2013-14 Central Hockey League season.
To that purpose, Sundogs management team members will be hoisted 33 feet above Prescott Valley, on the corner of Highway 69 and Glassford Hill Road, beginning at noon on Sunday, April 21. Owner Brad Fain, General Manager Chris Presson, promoter Lew Rees and Sundogs captain Jason Morgan will eat, sleep and work from the lift 24 hours a day - no matter the weather - until their goal of 300 new season tickets are sold.
"During the team's first couple seasons there were 2,500 season ticket holders, so we know our fans are there," Presson said. "We're asking for everyone to reserve their tickets now. Our team played hard all season and in the last few months we have proven to ourselves, the community and the league that we are a contending team and one to watch out for."
Although the Sundogs exited after the first round of CHL playoffs, three of their four losses came in overtime.
Quad-city area businesses are encouraging their customers to get their season tickets now. Sales representatives will be onsite with information.
"This is a critical program for us," Rees said.
