Town to dedicate new auditorium Thursday evening

The Prescott Valley Town Council will dedicate the new library auditorium on Thursday night, and then conduct its first council meeting there after the ceremony.

The dedication will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a flag ceremony by the Prescott Valley Police Dept. Susan Stewart will sing the national anthem, followed by the High Mountain Chordsmen with America the Beautiful, and the Bradshaw Mountain High School Honor Choir singing All the Things You Are. Mayor Harvey Skoog will make a dedication speech to conclude the ceremony.

The town will serve cookies and punch after the ceremony in the Crystal Room on the library's third floor, after which the council will return to the auditorium to conduct its usual council meeting at 5:30 p.m.

The council will conduct all of its future meetings in the auditorium, which seats 200 people. The auditorium also is available for public use. It is equipped with an audio/visual system, projector screens, a hearing-impaired amplification system, wheelchair seating areas, and a stage setup.

People who would like to reserve the room can call Pam Gray at the Prescott Valley library, 759-3043.
