Dewey-Humboldt needs strategic plan on museum purchase appraisal
An hour's worth of discussion was long enough for the Dewey-Humboldt town council to realize it needed more time to talk about purchasing the building now housing the D-H Historical Museum. The council finally sent the matter to a future study session.

Dewey-Humboldt election results are official
At yesterday's Dewey-Humboldt town council special study session, council members accepted Yavapai County Elections Department's official canvass of the Aug. 26 election for mayor and three council seats. State statute requires councils to formally accept the canvass.

Seven votes separate the two candidates for the third of three council seats in the Aug. 26 election. Dewey-Humboldt Town Clerk Judy Morgan said, since 10 or fewer votes separate the two candidates, an automatic recount would take place by order of the Superior Court, although she has yet to receive the notification.

Dewey-Humboldt Fireworks ordinance awaits definition on 'explosives'
The Dewey-Humboldt town council discussed an ordinance prohibiting fireworks at its July 15 meeting, but couldn't agree on a section dealing with explosives, and sent the entire document back to the town attorney for revision and explanation.
